North Shore Technical Tour participants will leave in the same e-bus. Those visiting PMG Technologies will be dropped off first. The e-bus will continue its route to St-Jérôme and drop off the visitors of the Lion Buses facilities. On its way back, the e-bus will pick up the people at PMG Technolgies.

Duration of the visit: 2 hours 10 minutes

Participants are invited to explore the unique Transport Canada’s Motor Vehicle Test Center currently managed by PMG Technologies and winner in 2012 of the prestigious titles of the “Crash Test Facility of The Year” as well as the “Most Accurate Crash Test Facility in The World” awarded by the Automotive Testing Technology International.
Since 1996, PMG Technologies plays a major role in the research and development and certification testing of electric components and vehicles. During the tour, you will visit the main lab, the crash lab and the sled area where electric vehicles and batteries are tested in destructive and non-destructive ways. You will visit the environmental chamber where electric vehicles and components are characterized at the most extreme temperatures. The tracks where electric vehicles are pushed to the limits are also part of the visit.

Lion Bus is the only type C school bus manufacturer in Canada. The company based in St- Jérôme is also the only manufacturer of a 100% electric school bus in the world. At its plant in the St-Jérôme, Lion Bus assembles the complete chassis and van body of this school bus. The integration of the electric drive is also done in St-Jérôme.
